چکیده
Objectives: Mental health is a potential risk factor for worse patient-reported outcomes measures (PROMs) of pain, function, and quality life across surgical disciplines. With poorer mental being PROMs. In the orthopaedic literature, greater emphasis placed on understanding role has postoperative outcomes. This not, however, been extensively explored all sports medicine arthroscopic surgeries. Furthermore, there paucity data collected from cohorts that control confounding variables with multivariate analysis. As such, we had unique opportunity in Outcome Measurement Evaluation system (OME) cohort to evaluate (mental composite (MCS) score VR-12) procedures hip, knee, shoulder. We hypothesize MCS scores (lower health) would be predictor PROMs Rotator Cuff Repair, Shoulder Instability, Hip Arthroscopy, Arthroscopic Partial Meniscectomy, ACLR. Methods: performed an internal review prospective studies Orthopaedic where analysis 1-year outcome was performed. OME cost-effective, scientifically valid, scalable electronic collecting clinical information surrounding episode care. leverages Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) database structured storage Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance augments it additional functionality multimodal communication patients surgeons. evaluated Veterans RAND 12-Item Survey (VR-12), which provides Component Summary score. Selected (Tables 1 2) included those assess pain function as well achievement patient-acceptable symptom state (PASS). Results: identified 5 met our inclusion exclusion criteria (Table 1). Baseline found predictive statistically significant improvements partial meniscectomy, hip arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair (p<0.05), but not shoulder instability surgery (Table2). PASS anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction see 2). Conclusions: Our findings demonstrate potentially modifiable several most common The warrants further evaluation improve these procedures. These could involve randomized trials aim preoperative or immediately at-risk individuals determine whether this can lead minimal clinically important difference [Table: text][Table: text]
